With Christmas just around the corner, we thought we would let you all know whats going on at Barney Martin and to say a BIG thank you for your support this year!

Tash has a boucing baby boy, Jasper….both mum and bub are doing really well. And we have a new addition too…..Andrew. Our new senior stylist/colourist. If you havent all ready met him, come in and see him, he would love to meet you.

Our very own Van has been promoted to a graduate stylist!! He is available NOW for blowdrys, so if you want to look fab for a Chrissie party or event, call Lou and book in with the talented Van as he is in hot demand.

Spring has sprung!

We are excited that spring is finally here and warm sunny weather is just around the corner. So put away the winter clothes and girls paint your toes.

Tash’s last day before she goes of to be a mum is Saturday 1st October. Then its sleepless nights and the joy of a little one. Do not fear Tash loyalists as she will return in the new year!

And just in time for spring….. Pimm’s and Lemonade is back in the salon!!

As some of you might all really know, Our lovely Roxy has left the salon to pursue a new career, but we would like to wish her all the best in her new life and to welcome Lou……Our new salon coordinator/assistant manager. Katharina will be back part time from 28th June, Tuesdays 10am-3pm and Saturday all day. After the high demand from you guys we have just got in some amazing new “hot tongs and blow dryers” from VS

Start of ‘11

Can you believe we’re already one month in to 2011? Us neither, time obviously
flies when you’re having fun – a little bit too much fun probably – as the silly season
seems to have marched with ill-deserved confidence into the new year!

As you all know Katharina has left to become a mummy, but we are happy to
introduce the extremely talented James, who is now available for cuts and colours.
James is another Pom (we just can’t seem to get enough) who loves doing editorial
shoots, keeping up to date with all things new, cool and a little bit trendy. If you’d
like to make an appointment to check him out just give Roxy a call.

The fabulous name-sake will be jetting off to Europe for the Fashion shows next
month (London, Paris and Milan daaahling). Mr Martin will be working alongside
global Pantene ambassador Sam McKnight and working on some AMAZING shows…
we will make sure he takes some pictures of the hot foreign models hairstyles –
maybe we’ll even add them to the Polaroid wall.

We are very excited to have become a Wella Salon recently, so keep a look-out in
the next month for some of the new Wella Salon Professional products. So if you’re
feeling the need to try something new; we’ll have serums, glosses, hairsprays,
shampoos, conditioners and treatments – oh my! The Wheel of (mis)fortune is still

Not only did we selflessly donate our tips to the floods, but Barnes matched our

After 18 months away in Berlin our Katharina Reichert has proudly returned to the salon to snip her way to the top!

The BMH team created jaw-dropping hair for the Bowie fashion show. The clothes
were amazing and thanks to us, we like to think, the hair matched. The Metallicus
show equally as incredible. We channelled a 50’s quiff with a modern twist, the hair
high to complement the styles.

It’s been a busy few weeks here at BMH. Luckily we have our hair-of-the-dog
Saturday Bloody Marys to take the edge off! Watch this space for the unleashing of
our summer cocktail: Pimms and lemonade. In the salon, the drinks are on us!
